IDI- Offers a variety of training programmes, covering entire spectrum of Gems & Jewellery basket, i.e, Diamond Manufacturing, Diamond Grading (Trading), Jewellery Designing, Jewellery Manufacturing, Assaying of Gold Jewellery & Gemmology.

Educational programmes are designed to meet industry’s specific skill manpower requirement with more emphasis on practical aspect.

Compared to other players operating in the field, duration of the programme offered by IDI is comparatively longer and fees are less.

IDI’s training programme provides an opportunity to the students to get more exposure to practical aspects, which is essential to possess, a requisite skill.

The emphasis is on practical training.  Students are given training with a view to develop skill and high proficiency. Theoretical knowledge to supplement the practical training is also imparted. Audio-visual aids, films and charts are also used in imparting training. Institute strictly adheres to the Quality of Training.

The institute has a well-trained and experienced faculty.  Guest lecturers and eminent persons from the diamond and gem trade and industry address the students from time to time as visiting faculty.

The medium of instruction is Hindi, English and Gujarati.  A working knowledge of Hindi and Gujarati is desirable.
